Waiting on the Lord

Isaiah 40:27-31

Waiting is not one of our strong suits! We are a microwave generation with lightning speed internet and same day delivery. When we want something, we want it now! But that’s not how God works. God has a “purpose” for everything. His timing is perfect, His understanding is complete and His wisdom is always right! This morning’s lesson is “Waiting on The Lord"

Discouraged with God’s Answer

Ø My way is hidden from the Lord – vs 27a

Ø My cause disregarded by my God – vs 27b

Remember God’s Promises

Ø NEVER will I leave you or forsake you – vs 28a

Ø The Lord is my Helper – Hebrews 13:5-6

Rest in God’s Character

Ø He is the Everlasting and Almighty God – vs 28a       

Ø He is the Enduring and Ever-present God – vs 28b

Ø He is the All Knowing and All Wise God – vs28c

Rely on God’s Strength

Ø He gives us Inward Strength – vs 29a

Ø He gives us Upward Strength – vs 29b

Ø He gives us Outward Strength – vs 30
