“Reckless Generosity”
Being “reckless” is generally not considered a good trait, but there are times when being “reckless” is not only needed but also considered a noble thing! This morning we’re going to consider “Reckless Generosity”. Luke 10:25-37
Generosity that some consider Reckless
- Helping total strangers – Luke 10:30-33; Deuteronomy 10:17-19; Galatians 6:10
- Giving extravagantly – Luke 10:33-35; Acts 2:44-48; 4:34-37; 2 Corinthians 8:1-4
Why we should practice Reckless Generosity
- Because it’s God’s Will – Luke 10:25-28, 36-37; 2 Corinthians 8:5
- Because we can afford it! – 1 Timothy 6:17-19; 2 Corinthians 8:12-15
- Because there’s a desperate need – Luke 10:30-33; Proverbs 21:13
Orphan Sunday is a day for Reckless Generosity
- Everything given today goes to help needy children – James 1:27
- May God bless us as we grow in this grace of giving! – 2 Corinthians 8:7
