Our Minister
Jim Allen has been the Minister of the Encinitas Church of Christ since 1992. He has been preaching the gospel of Christ for more than 30 years. During that time he has served as a missionary to the island of Antigua, Single Adult minister for the 7th and Orange Church of Christ, Associate Minister for the Vista Church of Christ, and now serves as the Senior Minister for the Encinitas Church of Christ. Jim has been happily married to Kim (Altom) Allen for over 30 years and have 3 sons together.
Our Youth Director
Willie Jackson and his family have been members of the Encinitas Church of Christ for several years. During that time they have been a great asset to the church, encouraging the brethren and helping out wherever needed. Recently, Willie agreed to take on the role of Youth Director. Having a teenage son (Josh), and a preteen daughter (Jazmin), he understands the great need for godly role models in our children’s lives. We’re blessed to have Willie and his wife Marcia working with our youth as part of our leadership team.
Our style of Leadership
While the Encinitas Church of Christ does not presently have Elders, we function quite well involving every member in the leadership of the church. When it comes to big decisions and direction of the church, the whole congregation has a say. The trust of implementing ideas and leading the church forward is given to our Minister Jim Allen and monitored by regular Congregational meetings. This has worked well for us, but we do hope to one day have qualified Elders and Deacons to pastor and serve as leaders.
